| Pounded Wheat |
Ingredients
7 tablespoons margarine
1+1/2 glasses of meat broth
black pepper
2+1/2 glasses of wheat (boiled and pounded)
5 onions
2 tomatoes
salt
Cooking Instructions
Firstly heat the margarine slightly in a saucepan. Grate the onions. Wash and dry the wheat with a paper-towel. Put the onions and wheat into the saucepan and saute over moderate heat for almost twenty minutes until the onions turn golden. Pare and mince the tomatoes and heat the broth. Put the tomatoes, broth, 1/3 tablespoon of black pepper and one tablespoon of salt into the saucepan, cover and cook till the wheat absorbs the water. Simmer over low heat for thirty minutes, stir and serve. Enjoy.
