| Golden Rice Pilaf |
Ingredients
2 glasses chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
generous pinch of saffron
1 glass long grain white rice
1/5 glass chopped onion
1 tablespoon olive oil
Cooking Instructions
First cook the onion in olive oil in a medium saucepan until golden, almost eight minutes. Add chicken broth, turmeric and saffron; heat to boiling. Stir in the rice; cover and cook, without stirring, until the broth is absorbed and the rice is tender, almost twenty minutes.
