| Baked Meat And Cheese Pie |
Ingredients
3 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
2 tablespoons fresh dill (chopped)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
2 eggs
1 glass milk
1/2 glass olive oil
1, 16 ounces package phyllo dough (thawed)
1 tablespoon butter
1 large onion (chopped fine)
3 cloves garlic (minced and mixed with teaspoon+salt)
8 ounces ground beef
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Cooking Instructions
First preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Transfer onion, garlic, and salt. Saute for almost seven minutes. Add meat and stir, cooking for just under five minutes. Blend in cinnamon, parsley, dill, pepper and salt. Remove from heat. In a small bowl, beat eggs with milk and oil. Lightly butter a nine * 12 inch baking dish. Carefully press one sheet of phyllo into bottom of pan. The sheet would overlap the sides of the dish. Pour a small amount of milk mixture onto phyllo, tilting pan from side to side to moisten dough. Add four more layers of phyllo, brushing each one with milk mixture before adding next one. Add another sheet of phyllo and cover with half meat mixture. Later add four more sheets, again brushing each one with milk mixture. Add another sheet of phyllo dough and cover with remaining meat. Top with five more sheets of phyllo, brushing each with milk mixture. Fold edges of phyllo dough into pan. Brush top thoroughly with milk and egg mixture. Bake until pie is puffy and golden brown. Serve hot.
