Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh oregano, (finely chopped)
1 small spring onion (ends trimmed, thinly sliced)
1/2 large red chili pepper (fresh, finely chopped)
fresh ground black pepper
Hellim
1 tablespoon olive oil or olive oil flavored cooking spray
250 g hellim cheese (drained, thickly sliced)
Garnish
fresh oregano leaves
1/2 fresh lemon (sliced in wedges)
Cooking Instructions
Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, green shallot and chilli together in a small bowl. Taste and season with pepper. Set aside until HELLIM is cooked. To cook the Hellim, heat a large non-stick frying pan over a high heat, with one tablespoon of olive oil. Once the pan was hot add hellim and cook for one minute each side. Place the haloumi on a plate. Spoon over the dressing and sprinkle with fresh oregano leaves and sliced lemon wedges. Serve both lemon juice, crusty bread.
