| Cracked wheat meatballs |
Ingredients
250 g tomatoes (cubed)
1 plus 1/2 tablespoons butter
2/3 glass cracked wheat (smallest size)
250 g onion grated (1 medium)
700 g ground Beef (%85 lean)
1/2 tablespoon plus 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon plus a pinch red pepper
3 glasses water
Cooking Instructions
Firstly blend ground beef, onions, cracked wheat, 1/2 tablespoon salt and a pinch of red pepper very well by hand. Shape into flat balls one 1/2″ in diameter and 1/2″ thick. Yields almost 62 balls. Melt margarine in a pot add cubed tomatoes, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper. Fry on low heat five minutes. Add three glasses of water. Bring to boil. Add cracked wheat meat balls. Cook covered almost fourty minutes on low heat. Enjoy.
