Ingredients
1 glass dehusked wheat for asure
1/3 glass chickpeas
1/3 glass white beans (dry)
2 tablespoons rice
12 glasses water
10 apricots (dried)
5 dried figs
50 g raisins (seedless)
1 orange (small)
1 + 2/3 glasses sugar
2 tablespoons rose water
2/3 glass walnuts (not crushed)
pomegranate (small)
Cooking Instructions
Wash the wheat, chickpeas and dried beans. Soak them separately overnight with beans and chickpeas in one glass and the dehusked wheat for asure and rice mixture in two glasss of water. Add three glasss of water to dehusked wheat for asure and two glasss of water each to chickpeas and beans and place them individually on the burner. Cook the dövme until the grains are dissolved and the starc comes out. If necessary boil the chickpeas in pressure cooker. Wash the dry fruit and soak them for two hours in one glasss of water. Blend the cooked ingredients and the dry fruit in a pan and cook for fifteen minutes. Peel the orange and cut the rid, including the white inner part into four cm long and one cm wide strips. Divide the orange slices into 5 pieces. Add them alltogether to the mixture and cook for another five minutes. Add the sugar and cook for two minutes and turn off the heath. Add the rosewater and stir. Pour into dessert glasss. Garnish with walnuts and pomegranate pits.
